Welcome to our website. I am an American who through my travels happened upon something quite special. What I found was a destination with unspoiled palm fringed beaches, a village rich in history, and a people and culture that resonated to the world of music and dance.

Fast forward to 2010. The village, Trancoso, has gone a bit more upscale but the beaches remain pristine and private. A new world class golf course has opened two kilometers down the beach from our Villas. A new jet airport arrived in 2005 and slowly people from around the world have begun to learn of this tiny far away destination. They come seeking a new adventure, a new culture and to discover why others have chosen to come here. What they find is breathtakingly beautiful beaches, a perfect year round climate and a a romantic retreat from their every day life.

Nestled along Nativos beach and just 1.5 kilometers from the historic “Quadrado” of Trancoso we have created a private villa retreat, Villas de Trancoso. Our size (six one, two and four bedroom villas), reflects our desire to serve you better. Our staff is committed to ensuring each of our guests has a special experience with us. From our manicured gardens, award winning lighting, succulent cuisine, private villas and palm studded beach we attempt to create an environment that combines a touch of romance and adventure. We remain small for a reason. We want you to experience something that you have not experienced before.

Over time others have come to know us. We were pleased in 2010 to have been selected as one of the top 10 boutique hotels/pousadas in Brazil by Guia Quatro Rodas, the definitive guide to dinning and lodging in Brazil. Trip Advisor continues to provide us with a five star ranking and # 1 in Trancoso. Our Villas have received mention in both the New York Times and the London Financial Times as well as many travel magazines and journals. Below we have included links to a few of these sites.
