Welcome to our website. You will find on these pages information about Trancoso, our Villas, our weather and our beaches. Also many photos that should help to better acquaint you with our area.

My journey began in 2001. A search for a romantic beach destination to unwind and relax. That search led me to a remote destination on the coast of Brazil that was soon to become my home. What I found were beautiful beaches, a perfect year round climate and a people and culture that resonated to the world of music and dance. I also found a village that had become a melting pot of diverse cultures while still maintaining its Brazilian heritage. Today Trancoso has gained recognition for its festive party atmosphere but many of us are here to enjoy the privacy and serenity of one of the most beautiful spots on earth.

As I walked the beach in those early days I was struck not by the golden sand beaches, majestic red cliffs or the palm studded surroundings, but by the utter privacy of what was soon to become my home. Many days I would walk for kilometers with only an occasional encounter with a sand crab.

In 2001 we acquired a secluded private beach property just 1.5 kilometers from the historic “Quadrado” of Trancoso and the work began. We opened our doors in 2003. Since our opening day we have had a steady focus on ways to imporve our customer experience. In 2009 and 2010 we were honored to have been selected by Gui Quatro Rodas (the definitive guide to travel in Brazil) as one of the top 10 boutique beach hotels in Brazil. In 2011 we were selected by the Sabotage Times as one of the top 7 honeymoon destinations in the World. Our guests have also begun to tell our story. In 2010 and 2011 Trip Advisor awarded us their prestigious five star rating.

Today our guests come from around the world. Some come seeking a vacation retreat for a romantic honeymoon or wedding. Other come to unwind from the hectic pace of their everyday lives.
